The Right to Bear Arms…will it continue to be so?
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on Feb 24 2009. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate even voting on it at all. It has started.
Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don’t fully comply.
Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn’t know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar.
To find out about this – go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
- It is registered
- You are fingerprinted
- You supply a current Driver’s License
- You supply your Social Security #
- You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
- Each update, change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
- Failure to do so automatically causes you to lose the right to own firearms forever and would make you subject up to a year in jail.
- There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
- They (the gov’t) would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from children and it would be punishable for up to
5 yrs. in prison and a fine if you are found to be in violation.
If you think this is a joke – go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along.
This is just a “termite” approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense – chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

We’ve Figured Out Obama
Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?
Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:
The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.
They ignored his anti-white writings in his books.
They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.
They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student.
They ignored his ultra-left record as a “community organizer,” Illinois state legislator, and Senator.
The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.
Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth.
Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.
The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill — a great idea in theory — was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.
Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.
The American people already know that Mr. Obama’s plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be — a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.
These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to “protect us” from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.
Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.
There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

You guessed it…this is from another e-mail. Perhaps I have highlighted the end of life the most because I am middle-aged or perhaps it is because my mother is in the end stage of Parkinson’s. I attended a Tea Party on the 4th of July at Boiling Springs, SC. I had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Alan Keyes. I have copied part of what he touched on during his speech…
Unfortunately, while pretending to care deeply for the plight of oppressed and unjustly abused humanity, the elites of our day are actually implementing an agenda that explicitly rejects the moral premises set forth in the Declaration. The premise of moral equality that requires that every human life be treated with equal respect has given way to a specious pursuit of material equality, though it require the sacrifice of millions of innocent lives along the way. The promotion of the so-called right to child murder prepares people to accept this calculus of death, which ultimately has Obama describing a system of government-controlled health care in which elderly people will be neglected and ultimately discarded on account of their physical frailty, rather than loved and respected for the real though intangible treasure of their spirit and moral character.

Why Obamacare Is Sinking

What happened to Obamacare? Rhetoric met reality. As both candidate and president, the master rhetorician could conjure a world in which he bestows upon you health-care nirvana: more coverage, less cost.
But you can’t fake it in legislation. Once you commit your fantasies to words and numbers, the Congressional Budget Office comes along and declares that the emperor has no clothes.
President Obama premised the need for reform on the claim that medical costs are destroying the economy. True. But now we learn — surprise! — that universal coverage increases costs. The congressional Democrats’ health-care plans, says the CBO, increase costs on the order of $1 trillion plus.
In response, the president retreated to a demand that any bill he sign be revenue-neutral. But that’s classic misdirection: If the fierce urgency of health-care reform is to radically reduce costs that are producing budget-destroying deficits, revenue neutrality (by definition) leaves us on precisely the same path to insolvency that Obama himself declares unsustainable.
The Democratic proposals are worse still. Because they do increase costs, revenue neutrality means countervailing tax increases. It’s not just that it is crazily anti-stimulatory to saddle a deeply depressed economy with an income tax surcharge that falls squarely on small business and the investor class. It’s that health-care reform ends up diverting for its own purposes a source of revenue that might otherwise be used to close the yawning structural budget deficit that is such a threat to the economy and to the dollar.
These blindingly obvious contradictions are why the Democratic health plans are collapsing under their own weight — at the hands of Democrats. It’s Max Baucus, Democratic chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, who called Obama unhelpful for ruling out taxing employer-provided health insurance as a way to pay for expanded coverage. It’s the Blue Dog Democrats in the House who wince at skyrocketing health-reform costs just weeks after having swallowed hemlock for Obama on a ruinous cap-and-trade carbon tax.
The president is therefore understandably eager to make this a contest between progressive Democrats and reactionary Republicans. He seized on Republican Sen. Jim DeMint’s comment that stopping Obama on health care would break his presidency to protest, with perfect disingenuousness, that “this isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics.”
It’s all about him. Health care is his signature reform. And he knows that if he produces nothing, he forfeits the mystique that both propelled him to the presidency and has sustained him through a difficult first six months. Which is why Obama’s red lines are constantly shifting. Universal coverage? Maybe not. No middle-class tax hit? Well, perhaps, but only if they don’t “primarily” bear the burden. Because it’s about him, Obama is quite prepared to sign anything as long as it is titled “health-care reform.”
This is not about politics? Then why is it, to take but the most egregious example, that in this grand health-care debate we hear not a word about one of the worst sources of waste in American medicine: the insane cost and arbitrary rewards of our malpractice system?
When a neurosurgeon pays $200,000 a year for malpractice insurance before he even turns on the light in his office or hires his first nurse, who do you think pays? Patients, in higher doctor fees to cover the insurance.
And with jackpot justice that awards one claimant zillions while others get nothing — and one-third of everything goes to the lawyers — where do you think that money comes from? The insurance companies, which then pass it on to you in higher premiums.
But the greatest waste is the hidden cost of defensive medicine: tests and procedures that doctors order for no good reason other than to protect themselves from lawsuits. Every doctor knows, as I did when I practiced years ago, how much unnecessary medical cost is incurred with an eye not on medicine but on the law.
Tort reform would yield tens of billions in savings. Yet you cannot find it in the Democratic bills. And Obama breathed not a word about it in the full hour of his health-care news conference. Why? No mystery. The Democrats are parasitically dependent on huge donations from trial lawyers.
Didn’t Obama promise a new politics that puts people over special interests? Sure. And now he promises expanded, portable, secure, higher-quality medical care — at lower cost! The only thing he hasn’t promised is to extirpate evil from the human heart. That legislation will be introduced next week

I do not post many of my actual words as some may have noticed. I am not overly articulate in the realm of politics. I am a newcomer to this arena. I have however learned who best says what I believe. Charles Krauthammer is one of those who when they speak, I listen. Senator Jim DeMint and Glenn Beck are there too.
I do fear, if we as a country do not wake up and pay attention to what is happening, it may be too late. The freedoms we enjoy as a country will be lost because of our complacency and the desire for Big Brother to take care of us. We fail to realize that every time we want Big Brother to take care of us, we relinquish control of our future.
Too often my generation has said, “What can I do? I am only one person.” If we each contact our senators and representatives, we can make our voices heard.
My advice to any who would read this is to pay attention…discover who best voices what you believe. Study what they say and act on your beliefs and convictions.
That is what I am endeavoring to do. I pray I am not too late.

15. Circled the globe so he could openly apologize for America ‘s greatness.
16. Told Mexicans the violence in their country was mostly caused by illegal guns from the U.S.
17. Politicized the census by moving it into the White House from its Department of Commerce origins and announced ACORN [the organization under massive scrutiny amid allegations of election fraud] would manage the process.
18. Appointed as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion from America to Cuba of a nine-year old whose mother died trying to bring him to a life of freedom in the United States .
19. Salutes as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life and the next day announces members of the Bush administration will likely stand trial for torturing a terrorist who had played a part in killing 3000 Americans by pouring water over his face.
20. Air Force One flew over New York City for a photo op without notifying local authorities, causing widespread panic.
21. Took over the American automobile industry and handed over 50% off to the unions [because he said he owed them].
22. Continued his drive for absolute gun control activities, thumbing his nose at the 2nd Amendment.
23. Offered travel and living subsidies in the U.S. to Hamas activists displaced from the Gaza Strip.
24. Got more airtime [TV] than Oprah Winfrey and was seldom in Washington tending to the business of State.
25. Announced the closure of enemy combatants detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba but failed to address the issue of ‘what’ to do with the 200+ prisoners currently held there. Rumors persist that they’ll be housed on U.S. soil.
Other than that, we’re doing just fine.

For a Congress that has fearlessly voted to spend trillions of taxpayer dollars and impose a national energy tax – all without even reading the legislation – the Democratic Majority sure does scare easily. In their mad rush to pass a $1.6 trillion health care takeover, they’re banning lawmakers from using charts or certain words that describe what their proposal actually does.
Case in point: Democrats have banned Members of Congress from using this chart depicting their proposal for government-run health care… er, a government takeover of health care. Roll Call reports:

This is the chart, courtesy Roll Call. It should be particularly terrifying for families and small businesses that would be forced to navigate this insanity. But who knew Democrats would be so afraid of their own creation?
Unfortunately, this chart isn’t the only thing Democrats are stamping out in their quest to put the government between patients and doctors. Human Events reports that “Republicans are no longer allowed to use the words ‘government run health care’ in the communications to their constituents.” The report says Rep. John Carter (R-TX) received a notice from the Franking Commission censoring his use of “government-run health care,” saying he “must” instead call it a “public option health care plan”:
| “A highly-placed Hill staff source tells HUMAN EVENTS this is the new policy being enforced by Democrats. Republicans will be forced to use the Democrats’ version of language describing their attempted government takeover of healthcare on their official communications with their constituents or they will have to pay for the postage personally.” |
So Democrats won’t allow lawmakers to use a chart that shows what their plan does or use language that describes what their plan is. Are they really that afraid that Americans will find out what they’re up to before they vote on it?

Catching Wild Pigs A chemistry professor in a large college had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government. In the midst of his story he looked at th e professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ‘Do you know how to catch wild pigs?’ The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. ‘You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity. The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America . The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.. While we continually lose our freedoms — just a little at a time. One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government ‘help’ is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America , you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut! GLENN: Senator, do you believe — I mean, when I heard Barack Obama talk about the Constitution and I thought, we are at the point or we are very near the point where our Constitution is hanging by a thread.
SENATOR HATCH: You got that right. And I tell you what is really fearful to me besides — there are so many issues but I’ve mentioned card check. What’s fearful to me is the makeup of the United States Supreme Court. Obama has said that he’s going to appoint people who are more concerned about the poor and those who don’t have a lot of wealth. Well, that’s not what the Supreme Court should be doing. It should be concerned about the poor, the wealthy, everybody. It should be concerned about obeying the law and enforcing the laws of the Constitution.
GLENN: Justice is supposed to be blind
SENATOR HATCH: You got that right. Now he’s made it very clear that it isn’t going to be blind, that they’re going to sway the court in favor of what he considers to be the poor. The problem is the poor are constantly changing and millionaires are constantly changing. The greatest thing about this country is that you can be poor, raised poor and wind up a multimillionaire because of the opportunities that this country offers you.
Now, if you change the Supreme Court to where it isn’t obeying the law, that means the Supreme Court becomes the superlegislature. None of those justices are elected to those positions. They are appointed for life. And the Democrats want to make it a superlegislature that will pass legislation from the bench that they could never get through the elected representatives of the people in congress. And that’s what they are up to, and I’m telling you it’s a scary, scary thing.
SENATOR HATCH: Well, let me tell you something. I believe the Constitution is hanging by a thread. I’ve been fighting the save it for all 32 years I’ve been in the Senate and I think anybody who looks at it knows I’ve been in almost every fight that’s been saving the Constitution. When I look at it, you have John McCain. Yes, he has some — he irritates people from time to time, but everybody knows he’s a hero. Everybody knows he’s to you. Everybody knows he wants to get spending under control. He is the only one who wants to get spending under control. He’s taken on his own side. He’s taken on the Democrats. Everybody knows that he’s head and shoulders above Obama on national security and foreign policy. Obama thinks we’ve got to be loved by the Europeans. I’d rather be respected by the Europeans and that’s what you are going to get with McCain. They may love Obama, because he wants to make us like the Europeans, like France. And I’ve got to tell you, who in Europe, in liberal socialist areas of Europe wouldn’t love Obama with what he’s standing for.
But it’s more than that. If you want more and more taxes, if you want the federal government to control more and more of your lives, he’s going to spend $1 trillion. He’s already talking about a trillion more dollars in spending. He doesn’t understand the energy needs of our society. He isn’t for using coal until we get energy self-sufficient. Heck, coal provides for — and clean burn coal provides for 50% of our electricity in this country. We can’t ignore that, but he does. And he doesn’t understand energy, one of the biggest issues in our country. I could go through the whole thing, and you are talking to a senator who’s put the tax credits in for wind, solar, geothermal, you know, and the hybrid cars and plug-in hybrid cars. I’m telling you, I’m right at the forefront of that. But that’s all well and good and we ought to do everything in our power to go that way, but he doesn’t seem to understand that until we get there, this country’s running on oil and on coal.
